They have better appreciation of universal concepts of democracy, freedom of expression and human rights. They are also less likely to engage in violent acts. Out-of-school youth will be trained in brick-making and masonry, carpentry, electronic repair, sewing and knitting and crafts making. Solutions For Somalia will employ this vocational training approach for marginalized out- of-school youth. For in-school youth, apprenticeship will be promoted. Cross-cutting concepts as cited above will be integrated from day one. The rationale is to groom holistically balanced citizens. This creates conducive environment for dialogue and peace.
