Displacement due to conflict, climate shocks, and economic hardship has created unprecedented migration challenges across the Horn of Africa. Solutions For Somalia recognizes that migrants and displaced persons face severe vulnerabilities including exploitation, trafficking, and loss of livelihood. Our approach combines awareness campaigns on safe migration pathways, documentation support, and community reintegration programs for returning migrants.
We will work with local authorities and international partners to provide psycho-social counseling, skills training, and income-generating opportunities for migrants and internally displaced persons. Special focus will be given to women and children who face heightened risks during migration. Through dialogue forums and community engagement, we aim to reduce stigma against migrants while building social cohesion between host communities and newcomers. By addressing root causes of migration and supporting dignified return and integration, we contribute to regional stability and human security.
